Korea University Summer Campus

Korea University is located on a beautiful, green campus in Seoul. Take Korean Language and Culture courses or choose from more than fifty courses, taught in English, in subjects such as: Business, Political Science, Sociology, and the Humanities. This is a great way to study abroad and make progress towards your major. Click here to see what courses are available. Students may also participate in a one-month internship prior to the start of the program. Housing is in the new international student dormitory.

UM-St. Louis students will pay UMSL tuition and earn six credits.

(arrive on June 28 or 29, depart on August 9 or 10)

Estimated Costs:

UMSL Tuition: $1,485.60 (Subject to change. Summer rates announced in April.)
Program Fee: $1,100*
Airfare: $1,200 (estimate)
Mandatory Health Insurance: $76
Meals and Personal Expenses: $600 (depends on personal habits)

*Tentative fee. Program fee includes accommodation in single room, some activities, and airport pickup. This fee is payable to Korea University.

Application Process:
Students will need to submit the following documents to the Study Abroad Office. Forms are available online or in the Study Abroad Office, 261 MSC. Deadline is February 22.

1. UMSL Study Abroad Application Form
2. One letter of reference
3. Transcript (Use study abroad transcript request form)
4. Scholarship application and scholarship essay

Upon your acceptance to the program, additional forms will be mailed to you. You will need to complete and return them to the Study Abroad Office in a timely manner.

Mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation:
All UM-St. Louis students who study abroad are required to attend pre-departure orientation. This session will cover registration and financial aid, credit transfer, travel, health and safety topics, culture shock, and much more. Details and location.
