This collection contains a note penned on December 24, 1784 about pay from the June 1782 service into Sandusky with Captain Rose’s Company under Col. Crawford, and 9 photostatic pages about Col. Crawford’s expedition against Sandusky and biographies of Gustave Rosenthal (known as Lt. John Rose) and Col. William Crawford.

This collection documents the ill-fated expedition against the Sandusky lead by Col. William Crawford in May – June 1782, which lead to his captivity and death.
