M-243: Muhammad, Temple of Islam Scrapbook

 

HISTORY: Acquired by the library in the mid 1990´s

SCOPE: Scrapbook, apparently created by a Mr. Harold Watkins. The scrapbook contains numerous essays and newspaper clippings pertaining to the various functions of the Nation of Islam from the late 1950 through the early 1960´s. In addition the collections contains a copy of Vol.1 no.1 of the Messenger magazine, edited by Malcolm X.

HOLDINGS: 1 scrapbook, approximately .5 linear feet.

ACCESS: Some of the material in Special Collection M-243 may be photocopied, digitally scanned or photographed, subject to condition.
