Hayek Professor in Economic History, announced the creation of a new Graduate Award starting in the Fall of 2019. The F.A. Hayek Masters in Economics Student Assistantship Award is being granted on a continuing basis. The Award includes a stipend (currently $5,000 per semester). The Department of Economics is excited to have this additional student funding available for the recruitment (and/or retention) of highly qualified graduate students.

There is no separate application. MA Applicants (or current MA students) need to simply inform the DGS (currently, Don Kridel) that they are interested in being considered for the Award. Subject to performance (GPA and student engagement), budget, and Hayek Chair and DGS recommendations, the Award can optionally be renewed for a second year.
