Academic Open House Events

The Academic Affairs Team is coming to a location near you!

We’re hosting a series of monthly open house events at locations across campus. Each one is an opportunity for UMSL faculty and staff to ask questions, let us know how things are going in your units, and have some snacks.

Spring 2024 Schedule:

  • Friday, January 26: 11 am – 12 pm (Express Scripts Hall 103)
  • Thursday, February 29: 2 -3 pm (Benton Hall B102)
  • Wednesday, April 3: 8:30 – 9:30 am (Villa 115)

All faculty and staff are welcome to these informal events that feature brief updates, plenty of time for questions and conversation, and snacks. You can visit for the whole hour or just part of it.

They are hosted by Provost Steve Berberich, Associate Provost for Student Success Colette Dixon, Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs Alice Hall, and Associate Provost for Academic Affairs Amber Reinhart.

The Office of Academic Affairs oversees the university's academic programs. Tasks and initiatives that it manages or helps organize include institutional accreditation, institutional research, curriculum approvals and development, instructional support, five-year reviews, faculty appointments and promotion, faculty development, strategic planning, student affairs, and student support.
