DATES: 1910s-1920s
CREATOR: Unknown
EXTENT: One approximately 10 ½” x 7 ½” by 1 ¼” black leather photo album
SCOPE: This collection contains a small (approx. 10 ½” x 7 ½” x 1 ¼”) black leather textured photo album embossed with the word “Photographs” on its cover in gold. The photo album contains sepia-toned and black and white photographs that appear to have been taken in the 1910s and 1920s, as evidenced by the clothing worn by the people in the photos and the presence of a Model T car in the rural Midwest. Most of the photographs look to have been taken in Missouri, specifically near Troy, with one photo having a label specifying it as being taken in Troy in 1911. There are a few photos, including one of a house and one of the outside of a library on the second page of the album, that were taken on the East Coast. Many of the photographs are portraits and candids of a family unit in a variety of poses and activities.
