DATES: 1915
CREATOR: Unknown
EXTENT: One approximately 8” x 6” x ¾” scrapbook
SCOPE: This collection contains a small black scrapbook embossed with the words “Snap Shots” across its front in gray. The scrapbook contains 22 sepia-toned photographs dated from 1915. The photos are glued to the black sheets of paper inside the scrapbook, many with inscriptions written above, beneath, or beside the photos. Several of the inscriptions indicate the stander to be a Colbert Miller, who looks to be a young child in the photos in 1915. Although it is unclear who took the photos or made the scrapbook, we know that Colbert Miller was in many of them and they were taken around the St. Louis area. There is a photo marked as being the Merchants Bridge in St. Louis, as well as one from Carondelet with Franklin Hill in the background.
