ABSTRACT: Broadside appealing for subscribers to the American Agriculturist, 1862.

SCOPE: This broadside presents an appeal for subscribers to the American Agriculturist, dated December 1st, 1862. The document includes a letter from Orange Judd, the owner and publisher of the periodical, in which he describes the publication’s success and the challenges of a shortage of cotton for printing paper. The document also includes a blank form for new and renewing subscriber information.
