ABSTRACT: Round trip ticket issued by the Missouri Pacific Railway between Harrisonville, Missouri and St. Louis for the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, also known as the St. Louis World’s Fair.
SCOPE: This “Coach Excursion” ticket, local excursion number 1533, was issued by the Missouri Pacific Railway Company on August 30, 1904, for first class train passage from Harrisonville to St. Louis for the Louisiana Purchase Exhibition. The passenger returned on September 6, 1904. The ticket is signed by the purchaser, C.I. West, and agent, J.B. Porter. The ticket includes regulations regarding the trips, non-transferability, alterations, and exchange.
