Dr. ShaQuina White's passion has always been in education, self and student advocacy, and overall mental health and wellness. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree from Southeast Missouri State University in Fashion Merchandising in 2012. After a career pivot, in 2017, Dr. White completed and received her Master of Education degree (M.Ed.) in Counseling with an emphasis in Secondary Education from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. In Fall 2018, Dr. White became an Undergraduate Academic Advisor for UMSL College of Education serving as a primary contact and advocate for undergraduate B.S. Ed. teacher candidates and B.S. Sport Management students; she transition to Senior Academic Advisor in 2022. Dr. White completed and received her Doctor of Education degree (Ed.D.) in Educational Practice in 2024. Her dissertation research is anchored in the areas of counseling, therapy, and mental health in higher education institutions, and how it is connected to undergraduate degree completion and student success.
After seven years as an academic advisor, Dr. White transitioned to Director of Clinical Operations in fall 2025, and serves to maintain key clinical and community partnerships, champion student clinical/internship experiences and completion, and also maintain and improve department logistics and systems. In addition to her director role, Dr. White is an adjunct professor and a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor for the State of Missouri.
