Dr. Ashley Tary is a dedicated optometrist who takes a community-focused approach to practicing optometry. With over ten years of experience in private practice, she brings a wealth of knowledge to our students. Her commitment to returning to her alma mater to help shape the next generation of optometrists speaks to her desire to give back and pass on her extensive knowledge to offer a comprehensive education to future doctors. This commitment ensures the continued growth and development of the field, helping future optometrists build strong foundations in both their technical and interpersonal skills.
In addition to her general optometry expertise, Dr. Tary specializes in contact lenses and ocular disease. She also strongly advocates for early vision care and is actively involved with key professional organizations like the American Optometric Association, Missouri Optometric Association, and St. Louis Optometric Society.
In her spare time, Dr. Tary finds joy in spending her weekends camping with her husband and two young daughters.Taking time to connect with nature while embracing it’s beauty and tranquility is a great way to unwind and recharge. It also highlights her values of family and the importance of nurturing those relationships while creating lasting memories together in the outdoors.
