Prospective students are invited to join us at our summer UMSL Optometry Showcase on July 26, 2024 to learn more about the exciting field of optometry, admission process, how to be a competitive applicant and about the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. 

  • Welcome from Associate Dean of Student Services and Alumni Relations, Dr. Angel Simmons
  • Explore the profession of optometry and the UMSL College of Optometry program
  • Learn about our admission requirements and our application procedures
  • Find out about the Optometry Admission Test (OAT) and when it should be taken
  • Learn about financial aid
  • Tour the College of Optometry and the Patient Care Center
  • Talk with current students
  • Hear from a panel of faculty members


The showcase is free but registration is required. Guests are limited to 2 guests per student.
PLEASE REGISTER by July 22, 2024. Space is limited to 50 participants.

Please check-in at 9:00 am at Marillac Hall (South Campus).
The program will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will include a light breakfast and lunch.
