Manage the flow of goods across the globe.

The efficient and timely flow of goods and services across the globe is vital to the world economy. Enterprises rely on teams of highly-trained logistics professionals to manage the production and delivery of products and services. As global trade between countries continues to open, with the ongoing growth of emerging markets, and as major e-commerce companies become more prolific, there is a growing need for managers to have a fundamental knowledge and training in supply chain management.

Supply chain management covers the whole supply chain, from procurement and sourcing through production or service delivery, to distribution to the end consumer. This includes the planning, design, implementation and management of systems for efficient deployment of personnel, facilities, vehicles, raw materials, physical goods and information. Data-driven decision-support plays a crucial role in supply chain management, which applies quantitative methods and techniques to provide better business solutions and managerial insights.

The Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management

The Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain Management is a 12-credit-hour program with two tracks: Supply Chain Management and Supply Chain Analytics. The Supply Chain Management track is geared towards supply chain operations, procurement of materials, project management and logistical operations. The Supply Chain Analytics track is more data- and analytics-driven; students learn to use information and data to make operational decisions, build predictive and prescriptive (optimization) models, and use analytical methods to obtain solutions and insights. This certificate program is designed for graduate students who want to build on their degree studies, as well as working professionals seeking to gain additional knowledge and specialized training in supply chain management.
