The Department of Economics at UMSL offers a BA in Economics, a BS in Economics, a dual-degree BS/MA in Economics, an MA in Economics, and a dual MBA/MA in Economics.
Students will encounter faculty who are both highly-engaged teachers and active researchers in their respective fields.

Our Mission Statement
The mission of the Department of Economics at the University of Missouri-St. Louis is to create new knowledge through research, to convey knowledge through undergraduate and graduate teaching, and to give students the ability to make their own contributions to knowledge through skills they learn in the classroom, through directed research, and through opportunities to work on research projects undertaken by faculty. By doing so we hope to give our students the tools they need to be successful in their personal lives and careers, and to be responsible citizens.
