Group Fitness at the RWC will begin again on Monday, August 17th. Please see below for our new class registration process and the schedule. 

Virtual Programming will end on Friday, August 14th.  

All Group Fitness Participants will need to register for Group Fitness Classes. Members can sign up for a class as early as one week ahead of the class and must sign up at least 15 minutes before the class begins. 

Members should sign up for Group Fitness classes on our app and/or on their online portal. 

To sign up on the app: 

  1. Login to your app. For downloading and login questions, please click here
  2. Click on "Classes" at the bottom of the screen. 
  3. At the top of the screen, select the date of the class.
  4. Select the class you would like to register for.
  5. Click the green "Book" button at the bottom. 
  6. Click on your name to book the class
  7. To cancel your spot in the class, go back to the home screen and select "Bookings"
  8. Select the date of the class you wish to unregister for. 
  9. Hit cancel at the bottom of the screen 

To sign up on the online portal:

  1. Login to the portal. For help with the portal, please click here.
  2. Click on "Classes" 
  3. Choose the criteria by which you would like to search for the class. Selecting the date might be the best option. Hit search once you have selected your criteria. 
  4. Click the class you would like to register for. 
  5. Hit Enroll

  • Who Can Participate?
    • Group Fitness is included in all memberships at the RWC.
  • How do I Sign Up?
    • Registration is required. Please view the top of the page for instructions on how to sign up via the app and/or the online portal.
  • Class Admittance
    • Class size may be limited due to capacity limits, equipment, and space requirements.  Please be courteous to other members and arrive before the beginning of class.  Members may be denied access to the class once class is at capacity or they did not register in time.
  • Schedule Updates
    • Campus Recreation reserves the right to cancel any class during the semester based on low attendance.  Necessary schedule changes due to illness, emergencies, or inclement weather will be posted online and on the information boards outside the studio.
  • Suggestions/Comments

Barre Fit

The RWC Barre Class is comprised of strength, flexibility, and fun geared to all fitness levels. This results-oriented class combines Pilates, yoga, ballet, and core strengthening to target all the major muscle groups in the body. We use small hand weights, a ballet barre, a mat, and a ball to help you burn fat and lose inches. No ballet, yoga or Pilates experience needed. All fitness levels welcome.

Basic Yoga

This class is designed to introduce students to the basic elements of yoga. You will learn basic yoga poses, flows, and how to link breathing with your movements. This class is a beginner yoga format.

Better Balance

An easy and effective exercise class designed for aging adults that focuses on movement, balance, breathing, stretching, and strength.  Join the class for Better Balance and a one of a kind group fitness class.

Cardio Boxing

This class is designed to provide individuals with fitness inspired by boxing. This class will provide an assortment of fitness drills to provide participants with a good cardio workout through the emphasis of delivering kicks and punches on pad targets in a circuit type workout.

**Boxing gloves are required** You may purchase boxing gloves in the Triton Trading Post.

Break a sweat as you learn samba and other sassy, high energy dance moves from Brazil.

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support.

Do you want tighter abs to help with balance? Do you loathe the thought of pumping iron in a gym but would still like to build muscle and increase strength? Then this FABSulous class is for YOU! As we age, our bellies tend to get bigger, our balance becomes a bit off kilter, and our muscles start to sag (especially the back of those arms). Using various water equipment, FABS class will: tighten your tummy, improve your balance, and build major muscle groups.

Fighting Fit

This class is designed to provide individuals with fitness inspired by Karate. Kettlebell AMPD

Kettlebell AMPD takes heart-pumping music and your favorite kettlebell moves and combines them into 60 minutes of calorie-torching fun! Weights vary anywhere from 5-15lbs, so the workout can be adjusted and moves modified to suit your individual needs. Get lost in the music and push yourself with the most effective, fulfilling, and lively workout available!

Wish you had a quiet, safe environment to close your eyes and relax in between classes? Napercise is just that. During the hour session you can rest your eyes, relax your mind, and listen to soft relaxing music to reenergize yourself and take on the rest of your day. As you enter Studio 4, you will grab a yoga mat and yoga blanket and find a spot to shut your eyes and relax. Talking is not allowed during the hour session and you can come and go as your schedule allows.

Stretching and core strength based on the work of J. Pilates. This class will target your abdominals and back muscles.

Using Ripstix®, lightly weighted drumsticks engineered specifically for exercising, POUND® transforms drumming into an incredibly effective way of working out.   Instead of listening to music, you become the music in this exhilarating full-body workout that combines cardio, conditioning, and strength training with yoga and pilates-inspired movements.  Designed for all fitness levels, POUND® provides the perfect atmosphere for letting loose, getting energized, toning up and rockin’ out! The workout is easily modifiable and the alternative vibe and welcoming philosophy appeals to men and women of all ages and abilities.

This interval training class will leave your full body toned with an emphasis on increasing muscular strength. Great class to pump up your spirit!

Silver Sneakers Classic 

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscle strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises and standing support. This class can be adapted by the student depending on their fitness level and abilities. It is suitable for beginning to intermediate skill levels.

A great cardio workout on stationary bikes for all fitness levels.  Ride to music as you are led by a certified spinning instructor.

Stick 2 It!

Strong muscles and a strong core are central to your over all health and well being!  This class focuses on building muscle definition and strengthening your core utilizing weights and noodles. After a session, you WILL see a difference and want to stick to it!

Total Body Blast

This class will leave your entire body feeling strong and powerful.  Using various equipment and exercises get a full body workout in 60 minutes!

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a dynamic, flowing style of practice that synchronizes movement to breath. Expect a challenging yet refreshing class designed to develop physical strength, balance, and mental focus. Modifications are offered to make your practice what you want that day: fitness-based, stretchy and relaxing, or a perfect mix of both.

W.E.T.

Water Exercise Training: A great class for low impact fitness.  W.E.T meets in the natatorium and will focus on exercises for fitness, body defining, and weight loss.

Zumba

Dance fitness class that incorporates Latin rhythms with easy to follow moves.  The class combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.  All dance levels welcome!

10 class punch pass: $7/class, Total $70

FAQ

How long will the passes be valid for?
Each of these punch passes will be valid for up to a year after purchase.

Which classes can I attend with this punch pass?
These punch pass cards would gain non-member access to the group fitness class package included in the membership package. 

How will the classes be tracked?
When a patron comes in to class, the front desk will record attendance in the membership software, which will keep track of the number of classes attended.  

Do I have access to any other privileges with my class punch pass?
This group fitness punch pass does not gain the patron access to any of the member privileges (i.e. reduced rate on programming, personal training, access to fitness equipment, gym, climbing wall, natatorium* or track). This pass is valid only for attendance to group fitness classes. 
**Group fitness classes held in the natatorium would be an exception.

If a class I bought the punch pass for is canceled or changes time will I be refunded?
All classes are subject to change.  You will not be refunded if a class gets canceled.
