Additional Leadership Opportunities

Leadership development extends beyond the programs offered through the Office of Student Involvement. Students can strengthen their leadership skills by joining one of UMSL's Recognized Student Organizations, where they can gain hands-on experience in leading teams, planning events, advocating for their peers, and making a meaningful impact on campus.

Students are also encouraged to explore leadership opportunities offered through the Division of Leadership, Career and Workforce Development, including the St. Louis Coro Fellows Program supported by UMSL's Community Innovation and Action Center, the Creating Whole Communities neighborhood leadership program in partnership with MU Extension, and the NextGen Leaders Program. Together, these experiences provide students with opportunities to develop professionally, engage with the community, and become values-driven leaders prepared to make an impact both on campus and beyond.
