Scott serves as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager and brings over 29 years of investment industry experience. As CIO, he leads the investment team and oversees the consistent application of Argent’s investment philosophy and process across all strategies, with particular focus on discipline and long-term perspective through varying market environments.
Scott also serves as Portfolio Manager for the Argent Large Cap and Dividend Select strategies, playing a central role in portfolio construction, investment decisions, and risk management.
Scott joined Argent in 2000 as one of the firm’s earliest employees. He has held multiple roles across the firm, from operations to investment analysis, giving him a thorough grounding in Argent’s process, culture, and client relationships.
Scott holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. He is a CFA charterholder and an active member of the CFA Institute and the St. Louis Financial Analysts Society. He serves on the University of Missouri-St. Louis Finance Advisory Board and on the board of Hope Happens.
Massimo Klüver

Massimo Klüver is a graduate student pursuing an M.S. in FinTech at the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL). He earned his B.S. in Finance from Harris-Stowe State University while competing as a student-athlete on the men’s soccer team.
At UMSL, Massimo serves as President of the Finance Club, representing students at Finance Advisory Board meetings and creating opportunities for students to connect with industry professionals. Starting in 2027 he will serve as a graduate research assistant in the Department of Finance & Legal Studies, where he supports faculty research and tutors students. Massimo is also involved with UMSL’s Student Investment Trust (SIT), a student-managed, real-money investment portfolio. As an analyst, he conducts investment research, develops investment recommendations, and contributes to an experiential learning environment focused on finance and investing.
As he plans to pursue the CFA charter, the CFA Institute Research Challenge will provide valuable exposure to relevant topics and hands-on experience in investment research and analysis. Massimo completed the St. Louis Marathon in under four hours and has recently taken up golf. He always makes time to stay in touch with his family in Germany.

Cissell Mueller - Foundation Power
Irene Li is Director of Energy Systems at Cissell Mueller – Foundation Power, where she leads a project portfolio spanning data centers, sustainable aviation fuel, critical-minerals reclamation, and multimodal power generation. She builds the valuation models behind the portfolio across natural gas, waste-to-energy, solar, and battery storage.
Over 15 years in investment banking and corporate development, Irene has led M&A and equity investment transactions totaling more than $2.3 billion across the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Asia. At Peabody Energy (2022–2025), she led the valuation and execution of a 5.5 GW partnership with RWE to develop 10 solar and battery storage projects on reclaimed mine land in Indiana and Illinois. She also led the valuation of the $200M Wards Well acquisition in Australia, which extended the Centurion Mine’s life by 25 years. Before Peabody, she executed $136M in downstream M&A in California for Chevron Renewable Energy Group. She spent her early career in investment banking at Barclays Capital, Standard Chartered, and Deutsche Bank’s joint venture in China.
Irene is an adjunct instructor at UMSL’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center and has developed case studies for Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a STEM-designated Master of Advanced Management from Yale School of Management, where she was a teaching assistant in financial analysis and entrepreneurial finance. She also holds an MBA in Finance from UBC Sauder School of Business. In 2025, she was named to the St. Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40.
Irene is active in the St. Louis community. She is a St. Louis chapter leader for WRISE (Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy) and part of the Solution Design Cohort of the James S. McDonnell Foundation’s Inclusive Prosperity Partnership. She also serves on the capital campaign committee of the Gateway Arch Park Foundation and the hosting committee of the Lindbergh Foundation. As a member of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee, she interviews applicants to Yale College.
