Marcia Countryman is an associate teaching professor of accounting for the Ed G. Smith College of Business at UMSL. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Illinois College, followed by an MBA from Northern Illinois University and a PhD in finance and accounting from Saint Louis University. She is a Certified Public Accountant. In addition to her involvement with the UMSL Alumni Association, Marcia serves as the Accounting Club advisor and is a member of the Athletics Advisory Council. She is the president of the Missouri Association of Accounting Educators, and she was named the 2025 MOCPA Outstanding Educator of the Year. Marcia is a member of the Bonsai Society of Greater St. Louis, and she also enjoys playing piano, board games, and golf, as well as spending time at the local pool during the summer.
