Sexual Assault Education

Campus Police officers will treat all complaints regarding sexual assault with the highest possible level of confidentiality.

University of Missouri-St. Louis utilizes a number of strategies and activities specifically designed to educate the campus community regarding sexual assault issues and to promote awareness of rape, acquaintance rape, and other sex offense prevention strategies. These strategies and activities include the use of posters, flyers, brochures, videos, lectures, and forums.

PROCEDURES to be followed in the event of sexual assault:

In the event a student is sexually assaulted on campus property or at a college sponsored or supervised activity, the following procedures should be followed:

The victim of sexual assault should, as soon as possible, contact the Campus Police, Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs, or Student Health Nurse. An official report should always be filed with the Campus Police Department.  The victim should, to the greatest extent possible, preserve any physical evidence that may help to establish proof of criminal assault and/or identify a perpetrator for criminal prosecution. The University of Missouri - Saint Louis will change the victim’s academic or living situations if changes are requested and are reasonably available.
