Transcript Pre-Evaluations
If you are not quite sure if UMSL is the right school for you and would like to know how your credit would transfer before you apply, then you can submit unofficial transcripts to the Office of Transfer Services for pre-evaluation. One of our transfer coordinators will review your coursework and then get in touch with you to discuss how your credit will transfer, how it will apply towards your prospective major, and how much time you would have left to graduate.
Unofficial Transcripts can be submitted by fax (314-516-5310, Attn: Transfer Services) or email (transferservices@umsl.edu). Please designate in either the subject line or on the cover page that the correspondence is in regards to a Pre-Evaluation. Be sure to send unofficial transcripts from each indvidiual school through which you have earned credit. Also, please include the following information with your correspondence:
- The Names of the College or Universities of each Transcript
- The Major or Other Programs you wish to pursue at UMSL
- Your Contact Information
- Any other Questions you may have
Evaluations can take around five to seven business days. Submission of unofficial transcripts for a pre-evaluation does not count as submission for application. All results of pre-evaluations are considered unofficial and subject to change at the time of the student’s admission to UMSL. If you are ready to apply, it is recommended that you do so instead and then meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss how your credit has been officially transferred.
