Transcript Pre-Evaluations
If you are not quite sure if UMSL is the right school for you and would like to know how your credit would transfer prior to applying to the University, then you can submit unofficial transcripts to the Office of Transfer Services for pre-evaluation. One of our transfer coordinators will review your coursework and then get in touch with you to discuss how your credit will transfer, how it will apply to your prospective major, and how much time you would have left to graduate.
Unofficial Transcripts can be submitted by fax (314-516-5310, Attn: Transfer Services) or email (transferservices@umsl.edu). Please designate in either the subject line or on the cover page that the correspondence is in regards to a Pre-Evaluation. Be sure to include your unofficial transcripts from all schools through which you have earned credit and list which schools the trasncripts are from, as that iinformation is not always included on unofficial transcripts. Lastly, don't forget to include your contact information and intended major or majors.
Evaluations can take up to five to seven business days. Submission of unofficial transcripts for a pre-evaluation does not count as submission for application. All results of pre-evaluations are considered unofficial and subject to change at the time of the student’s admission to UMSL. If you are ready to apply, it is instead recommended that you do so and then meet with an Academic Advisor to discuss how your credit has been officially transferred.
