UPB Traditions

The University Program Board plans around 25 events on campus per semester. A number of these events are ones that have been so popular that we have decided to make them a tradition! Check out some of our traditional programs below!

All traditions are organized by the UPB Traditions Chair.

Six Flags Fright Fest

Join the annual thrill Six Flags St. Louis! Each year we take a group of 25 students to ride roller coasters, eat theme park food, and walk the scary street of the theme park.

Mirthweek Concert

UPB's most famous attraction. The first Mirthweek that UMSL hosted was April 23, 1986 and has been a beloved UMSL tradition ever since! The team now hosts a concert featuring local artists.

Hosted each Fall semester during Weeks of Welcome, get your bingo cards ready! Forget to pack something for your new room? Don't worry, we got all types of room accessories for you.

After a stressful yet exciting first week of classes, UPB brings the fun over to UMSL's residential students at Oak Hall for an evening of swimming, sweet treats, music, memories, & more!

Homecoming is not complete without a talent show! Students are encouraged to participate in this show featuring current students, alumni, and local performers. Winners walk away with gift cards.
