Success through Knowledge and Diversity
The mission of the Multicultural Relations/Academic Affairs is to contribute to campus diversity by working deliberately to retain students of color. To this end, a strategic developmental retention plan is implemented. Additionally, the mission is to increase multicultural sensitivity through the provision of campus programming. Multicultural Relations is uniquely positioned to be the bridge between students of color and student service units. Multicultural Relations encourages student usage of all student services and participation in campus activities. Conversely, the Multicultural Relations team works to infuse a multicultural perspective in services and programs in order to meet the needs of a diverse UM-St. Louis campus community.
