MLK Day of Service1/19/2009

130 Volunteers * 13 Local Non-Profit Organizations * 1 Day celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a man who dedicated his life to upholding the ideals of human worth and serving those less fortunate. On January 19th, 2009 UMSL will honor his memory by hosting its first annual MLK Day Challenge. Join us in making a difference in the St. Louis community by painting, teaching, cleaning, fundraising, and building relationships at one of our 13 service projects. Celebrate the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. by working hard with a group to complete a service project, meeting new people, sharing new ideas, and making a difference.

Are you up for the challenge?

To register either:

  • Fill out our registration form and return by Email to hillme@umsl.edu or print and mail the form to Megan Hill in the Office of Student Life (366 MSC).
  • You may also stop by the Office of Student Life (366 MSC) to complete the registration form in person.
*Participants may register as a part of a group or individually, but be aware that groups may need to be split in order to insure even team size.
