MLK Day of Service
1/19/2009
130 Volunteers * 13 Local Non-Profit Organizations * 1 Day celebrating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a man who dedicated his life to upholding the ideals of
human worth and serving those less fortunate. On January 19th, 2009 UMSL will honor his
memory by hosting its first annual MLK Day Challenge. Join us in making a difference in
the St. Louis community by painting, teaching, cleaning, fundraising, and building
relationships at one of our 13 service projects. Celebrate the ideals of Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr. by working hard with a group to complete a service project, meeting new
people, sharing new ideas, and making a difference.
