The International Master of Business Administration (IMBA) program at the University of Missouri - St. Louis is a distinctive program for uniquely qualified individuals. We seek students who have already acquired functional fluency in another commercial language beyond English, and are passionate about leading and transforming organizations in the global economy.

During this two-year rigorous business program, students will study abroad for one year in one of our partner universities, gain practical experience through an international internship, and earn two degrees. Our partner schools in Europe, South America and Asia provide outstanding opportunities for study and work experience.

Our ultimate goal is to equip students with the skills and experience needed to become contributing citizens and community leaders, and to provide them with the connections necessary to launch their successful international careers.

We invite you to learn more about our IMBA program by exploring our website or, better yet, coming by our campus to talk with the current IMBA students and faculty members who make this such a great program.

Student Testimonials

“My experience in Mexico with the International MBA program was amazing. Not only will I receive an MBA diploma from one of the most prestigious universities in Central America, but I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a different culture, the Spanish language as well as entirely different business and academic communities. My internship with a large, well known, international company allowed me to apply the practical business knowledge I gained in the classroom and develop skills for working successfully with diverse colleagues in an international environment. The overall experience was invaluable.”

Caitlin Nowicki, IMBA

student from US

"I am currently an IMBA student who recently returned from the University of Strasbourg, in the Alsace in France. I met and studied with students from all around the world. We did many team projects where I experienced the importance of intercultural understanding on a firsthand basis. It is truly a must do trip for anyone who wishes to compete in the global workplace of today."

Louis Howell, IMBA student from US

"I really enjoyed being a student at UMSL. Teachers and administrative staff were very supportive. As an international student I felt completely integrated with my other American classmates. In addition, the three-month internship I completed at Ingersoll Rand was a very enriching experience."

Carine Bonnet, IMBA student from France

"The life at UMSL was memorable, enjoyable, and rewarding. For me, it’s not only practicing language, acquiring knowledge, making new friends or broadening my mind, more importantly, learning how to think and behave from different perspectives in a different culture."
