The SGA Campus Recognition Award honors the dedication and hard work that make a difference on our campus. This award celebrates individuals or groups, who go above and beyond to enhance the student experience at UMSL. Established in October 2025, it serves as a reminder that contributions to our community never go unnoticed.

October Recipient: Ahmaad Wallace

Ahmaad Wallace, Coordinator of Student Organizations and Fraternity & Sorority Life, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions to campus life. Through innovative programming and direct engagement with students, Ahmaad has demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the student experience. His efforts have truly made a difference, earning him this well-deserved recognition.

November Recipient: OSI Student Staff Team

For November, we proudly recognize the entire Office of Student Involvement (OSI) student staff team. This group plays a vital role in creating an engaging and welcoming campus environment. From supporting events and assisting student organizations to ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, their collective effort makes a significant impact on the UMSL student experience. Their teamwork, dedication, and enthusiasm embody the spirit of involvement and leadership that strengthens our campus community.

April Recipient: Library Staff 

The Student Government Association Executive Board of the University of Missouri–St. Louis recognizes the UMSL Library Staff with the SGA Excellency Award in appreciation of their essential role as a foundational academic and community resource for the university, their consistent professionalism, dedication, and care in supporting student learning and research, and their provision of vital services such as research assistance, academic materials, technology support, and inclusive study spaces that enhance student achievement. This recognition further honors the Library Staff’s commitment to fostering a welcoming, inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds and learning needs, their genuine investment in student success beyond routine responsibilities, and the vital role the UMSL Libraries play in advancing academic excellence, student well-being, and a supportive campus community.
