Celebrating 40 Years

Since 1986, the UMSL Advanced Credit Program (ACP) has helped high school students get a head start on their college careers. The ACP is a dual credit program, as defined by the Missouri Department of Higher Education. Students enrolled in eligible high school courses have the opportunity to simultaneously earn UMSL college credit. Students continue learning in the high school classroom from teachers who have been certified to teach college-level coursework. Thousands of academically-motivated students across 90+ St. Louis-area high schools participate in the program each year.

Why Enroll in Dual Credit?

Dual Credit Through Launch

The Advanced Credit Program partners with Launch Virtual Learning, which provides high-quality online courses to Missouri students. Certain courses offered through Launch are eligible for UMSL dual credit. Hundreds of Launch students from across the state participate in the program every year. Our partnership with Launch fuels our mission by making college more accessible to students, including those in non-traditional learning environments. If you are a high school student enrolled in a virtual course through Launch, check the Launch Course Catalog to see if the course is eligible for UMSL dual credit!
