Professional Biography:
I am an expert in the business and operations of higher education, healthcare, academic medicine, and urban government; with a focus on economic development in distressed cities.
20+ years' experience in management and operations of large, complex organizations across multiple sectors - health care, higher education, technology, economic development, retail, political campaigns, and government. • Experienced in database management and development, statistics, and business analytics. • User of platforms including Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Cognos, ArcGIS, SAS, Stata, Tableau and Workday. • Experienced manager and advisor to senior management in complex, decentralized organizations. • Certified Compensation Professional • Certified Contracts Manager • Extensive statistical training in a PhD program focused on quantitative methods. • 17+ years' experience as a university instructor at multiple institutions, developing curricula and mentoring students in business, technology and the social sciences.
My current focus is on leading and growing a University-wide Human Resources analytics, and reporting team, including support for the WUSTL implementation of Workday that went live on July 1, 2021. I am also involved in compensation analysis, with a particular focus on physician compensation. I provide data support for institutional research, government reporting, strategic planning, executive compensation & salary budget reports for leaders across the University and the School of Medicine.
