Former UMSL MFA student Ryan Krull has co-written and produced a brand-new true crime podcast, The Peacemaker, for iHeartMedia.
About Ryan
Ryan Krull is a journalist who covers St. Louis and Missouri for St. Louis Magazine. He is co-author of The St. Louis Daily, a free daily newsletter that tells you everything you need to know about this town in six or seven minutes. He also co-wrote and produced The Peacemaker, an 8-part true crime podcast for iHeartMedia. Last, he is currently at work on a book about the infamous "Package Killer" serial murder case, focusing on the detective who solved the grisly crimes three decades after they were committed, as well as Ryan’s own years-long involvement—teetering at times too close to friendship—with the primary suspect. Ryan is represented by Georges Borchardt, Inc in that endeavor.
No matter what I am writing or reporting on, or in what medium, clear writing is paramount. I learned how to write clearly and in a style that is easily understood while at the UMSL MFA program. I also learned quite a bit about structuring and shaping stories, which has proven invaluable.Ryan Krull on his experience in the MFA program
