International Baccalaureate (IB) courses are advanced courses affiliated with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program that are taught in high schools to eligible high school students who may receive high school and college credit. Provided the student successfully passes the IB exam and completes the diploma program, college credit is received but no college-level letter grade is awarded. IB courses are credit-by-exam courses.

The courses are taught on a high school campus by high school teachers approved by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). Course transferability is not guaranteed. The high school counselor would be able to determine which, if any, of the high school's advance courses are considered IB courses.

For more information about IB, please visit the International Baccalaureate Organization website.
