Advanced Leaders is a special topics leadership experience for UMSL students who have an understanding of basic leadership skills and practices. The program offers students the unique opportunity to explore, discuss, and analyze many professional fields directed by executive officials from various companies, corporations, industries, public services, sports and entertainment areas, as well as the art community throughout the St. Louis metropolitan region.

The program introduces information that a rising leader should possess and considers what those in executive leadership positions should know when planning their career path. During Friday Career Excursions, students get exposure to different philosophies and styles of leadership which help them become more comfortable with the transition from the classroom to the boardroom. Advanced Leaders takes place during the fall semester only.
