- Midwest Regional Outreach, Science & Scholarship Summit: Leadership in Interdisciplinarity, Networking & Collaboration (LINC)
Feb. 2, 3 & 4, 2009
Faculty from area institutions are cordially invited to attend this three-day event. The summit will feature speakers from federal agencies and local institutions addressing updates on the latest funding trends, and information on academic research policies, practices and opportunities. Attendees will also have the chance to explore ways to enhance the success of their individual and collaborative research projects.

- Grants Policy Reminder: Adjustments to Income and Expense Items (BPM 213) -- Please note that any correction of income and/or expense items between ChartFields should be made within two accounting periods (two months) after the end of the accounting period in which the original transaction posted. The policy also addresses the required documentation of payroll correcting entries (PCEs) on sponsored projects.

- Qualitative Research Conference February 6-7, 2009, at UM-St. Louis. This year's theme is "Generations in Qualitative Research" with conversations on how each of us takes part in revising the nature of qualitative research, how students gain and adapt knowledge from their advisors, and how advisors change the nature of their work due to their students.
