The following applications submitted by UMSL researchers were funded by the UM Research Board:

Sylvia Cook, English, was awarded $10,000 for "Clothed in Meaning: Literary Dress & Working-Class Life."

Wendy Olivas, Biology, was awarded $50,000 for "mRNA Decay & Translation by Puf Proteins."

George Taylor, Psychology, was awarded $37,586 for "Neuroendocrinology of Post-Stroke Depression."

Richard Wright, Criminology & Criminal Justice, was awarded$24,000 for "Conflict & Social Control Among Middle-Class Drug Dealers."

TOTAL: $121,586
