Science, Economic Development Focus of UMSL Symposium
The St. Louis Institute of Nanoscience & Nanomedicine will host a symposium from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, in the Century Rooms of the Millennium Student Center at UMSL. The overall theme of the symposium is “Translating Science into Economic Development.” SLINN 2013 is a joint venture sponsored by UMSL, Saint Louis University and Washington University in St. Louis.
The symposium is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Pivot to Release New Database Interface
(Posted 01/16/2013) The new Pivot interface will be released Saturday, January 19, around 7 p.m. Central time. Pivot will not be available during the interface update, which should take less than one hour. The look and feel of Pivot has been improved (based on customer feedback) making it easier to navigate and use Pivot. The new interface also paves the way for improved profile updating and other enhancements coming later this year. UMSL Technology Transfer and Innovation Marketplace LinkedIn Group Launched

NIH Considers Anonymity for Grant Applicants

Electronic Signature Page Approvals Coming Soon
(Posted 11/01/2012) The University of Missouri sponsored projects offices (including the ORA) are developing the workflow for electronic signature page approvals (EA), which will significantly streamline the process and eliminate the need to carry printouts of the signature page from office to office to get approvals. In the next few weeks, the ORA will ask PIs and others who help with signature pages to test the electronic process to make certain routing has been correctly set up. More details coming soon.
