IRBNet Quick Start Guide
IRBNet is the electronic platform UMSL uses for the review of animal research and use, human subjects research and conflict of interest claims. Each area of interest has individual requirements that are unique to it alone.
- Animal Research and Use is monitored by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
- Human Subject Research is reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
- The Conflict of Interest committee (COI) reviews potential conflicts of interest related to sponsored projects, research and technology transfer.
To use IRBNet you must first register at www.IRBNet.org. There, you will create a username and password, enter your personal information and provide an email address that will be your link to information from the IRBNet system. Make sure you affiliate with the University of Missouri–St. Louis.
Once you are properly registered in IRBNet, you may create and submit protocols and disclosures. You can also upload your training information (NIH or CITI) in IRBNet if applicable.
Login and Registration problems must be handled by IRBNet personnel: email@example.com or 1-877-261-6461
You can watch the IRBNet Researcher Training Session at your convenience for initial training or a refresher. For individualized help using IRBNet, contact John Hancock (314-516-5928).
