June 3, 2026 – Report # 26-0184 – 10:49 a.m. Occurred on June 3, 2026, between 10:30 a.m. and 11:19 a.m. TRESPASSING/RESISTING ARREST/ASSAULT ON A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER-THOMAS JEFFERSON LIBRARY. A non-affiliated person was observed in a building, with no educational purpose and was told by the police officers to leave. The person left and went into another building. The police contacted the subject again inside of the second building and while trying to escort them out of the building this subject resisted arrest and began fighting and assaulting the officers. The subject was arrested and transported to police station and then to St. Louis County Jail where they were held. When the case was presented to the prosecutors, warrants were issued for Trespassing, Resisting Arrest, and two counts of Assault on a Law Enforcement officer. Both officers suffered injuries, and the suspect was not injured. Disposition: Closed-Arrest Made.
June 3, 2026 – Report # 26-0185 – 1:45 p.m. Occurred on June 3, 2026, between 11:00 a.m. and 11:10 a.m. INFORMATIONAL REPORT-ANHEUSER BUSCH HALL. A staff member reported seeing a person walking into the office area and taking their leftover food out of the refrigerator that did not belong to them and eating it. The staff member did not have any conversation with this person and did not wish to prosecute. Disposition: Inactive.
June 3, 2026 – Report # 26-0186 – 5:27 p.m. Occurred on May 30, 2026, at 9:49 a.m. INFORMATIONAL REPORT-UNIVERSITY MEADOWS APARTMENTS. A student reported receiving unwanted text messages from an unknown person. The text messages were derogatory in nature, but not criminal. The reporting party believes these messages came from a family member of a person who works at the University Meadows. Disposition: Inactive.
June 3, 2026 – Report # 26-0187 – 4:37 p.m. Occurred on June 3, 2026, between 4:30 p.m. and 4:37 p.m. FOUND PROPERTY-OUTSIDE OF THE MILLENNIUM STUDENT CENTER. A staff member found a lunch bag and headphones. The property was turned over to the UMSL Police Department. The owner is unknown, and the property is being held for safekeeping. Disposition: Inactive.
