May 11, 2026 – Report # 26-0152 – 1:19 p.m. Occurred on May 11, 2026, between 1:19 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. ELEVATOR ENTRAPMENT-JC PENNY CONFERENCE CENTER. Several contract workers were stuck on the elevator when the university lost electricity to several north campus buildings, and the elevator stopped moving. The UMSL Police along with the maintenance staff responded and were able to free the people from the elevator. There were no injuries. Disposition: Inactive.
May 11, 2026 - Report # 26-0153 – 3:10 p.m. Occurred on May 11, 2026, between 3:10 p.m. and 3:27 p.m. FIRE ALARM-ANHEUSER BUSCH HALL. The fire alarm sounded in the building just after the electrical power had been restored to the campus, and the building evacuated. The UMSL Police along with the maintenance staff responded and determined that there was no fire and was due to the recent power failure. The maintenance staff were able to reset the alarm, and the people were allowed to return to the building. There were no injuries. Disposition: Inactive.
May 11, 2026 - Report # 26-0154 – 6:48 p.m. Occurred on May 11, 2026, between 6:48 p.m. and 6:54 p.m. FOUND PROPERTY-TOUHILL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER. A cell phone was found by the staff and brought to the UMSL Police Department. The owner responded to the police department and retrieved their property. Disposition: Inactive.
