August 24, 2025 – Report # 25-0209 – 1:51 a.m. Occurred on August 24, 2025, between 1:45 a.m. and 1:50 a.m. ROBBERY 1ST DEGREE - EAST DRIVE SOUTH CAMPUS. While walking on Natural Bridge, two UMSL students observed a suspicious subject, as they turned to walk down East Drive, they were approached by this subject who displayed a firearm and demanded their cell phones. One victim gave up their cell phone and the other was not in possession of theirs. The suspect ran away Westbound on Natural Bridge. The victims who were not physically injured, flagged down a nearby Normandy Officer and the Normandy Officers were able to locate the suspect in the area of West Drive and Natural Bridge Road. The suspect was still in possession of the victim’s cell phone and a firearm. The UMSL Police arrested the suspect for Robbery 1st Degree and transported the suspect to the St. Louis County Jail, and later that day were able to present the case to the St. Louis County Prosecutors Office and obtained warrants for the charges of Robbery and Unlawful use of a weapon. Disposition: Cleared by Arrest.
