Computer Science

Professor Keith W. Miller has a Ph.D. in Computer Science and is UMSL’s Orthwein Endowed Professor for Lifelong Learning in the Sciences. His research specialties are computer ethics, online learning, and software testing. His interest in geospatial computing is focused on using maps and mapping as a way to encourage engagement in students who are underrepresented in STEM professions. In addition to his collaboration with the College of Education’s Geospatial Design Lab, Miller works with UMSL doctoral students interested in STEM education, and with informal learning at the St. Louis Science Center, and at Girls’ Inc. St. Louis.
