Bob (she/her) supports students through the Work pillar with a combination of her own experience and market research. With a background in ten different industries and all employment statuses, Bob worked five campus jobs as a student at UMSL and works her ninth job post-graduation in the Office of Inclusive Post-secondary Education. She graduated in 2019 with a B.A. in English and two writing certificates, acquiring her Professional Résumé Writing Certificate afterwards. Bob believes in empowering people of ranged ability levels through service, action plans, and authentic growth.
Proven through her experience in crisis counseling, vocational support, substance use assistance, and dementia care, Bob is adept at providing immediate assistance to individuals in distress, tailoring her communication to meet their unique needs. Bob practices American Sign Language (ASL) and uses technology to help bridge other language barriers.

While Vocational Coordinator Maya Harris aids families and directors, Senior Student Support Specialist Ashleah "Bob" Summers (she/her) advocates for students and their immediate supervisors. As the team’s Vocational & Data Specialist, Bob equips students with technologies to help them achieve their dream jobs. Her guiding values are trust, growth, and authenticity.
