The Graduate Certificate in Taxation

Prepare for a career in tax compliance and representation.

Understanding the federal and state tax codes is vitally important for individuals, companies and nonprofits to stay in compliance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). For accountants, understanding tax preparation, compliance and policy is essential, so those with the coveted knowledge to navigate these complex and complicated laws are valued by all. CPA firms, businesses, and non-profits hire skilled tax professionals and accountants to ensure compliance with the IRS, and the government hires tax professionals to review the tax documents it receives. There is no question those with a background in tax law, compliance and preparation are hugely sought after.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of accountants is closely tied to the growth of the economy and is projected to grow 6 percent from 2018 to 2028. Completing this certificate program will help set you apart, sharpen your competitive edge, boost your earning power and better prepare you to succeed in this important field.
