Handshake Access

Welcome to Handshake!  

Handshake is an online platform that connects talented student and alumni job seekers to employers looking to recruit interns, part-time, and full-time hires. 

UMSL faculty and staff may create a Handshake account to learn more about internship/job opportunities, career events, and more. 

How To Use Handshake  

Handshake does not currently offer a specific faculty/staff account option. Faculty/staff users will create a job seeker account in Handshake.  

To get started, create a Handshake account by registering here.

Required Steps:

  1. When you get to the Join Handshake Page, choose the option “sign in with your email address” (below the student login box)
  2. Choose “I’m a student or Alumni”
  3. Enter your email address | It is critical that you use your “umsl.edu” email address
  4. Your request will be approved by Career Services | UMSL Career Services will contact you by email to verify your faculty/staff account status.
