Homecoming Spirit Points

Spirit points will be awarded for participation, attendance and placing in the following Homecoming Week activities. The organization with the most points at the end of the week will be named the overall spirit week competition winners, will be recognized and announced at the Homecoming Dinner and Dance, and will have their organization's name engraved on the Homecoming Spirit Award plaque hanging in the Office of Student Life. Second and third place winners will also be recognized and announced at the Homecoming Dinner and Dance.

Attendance Spirit Points Overview

Attendance spirit points are awarded to organizations that have members attend Homecoming events. Points are broken down into brackets and capped at 13 members. At each Homecoming Week event there will be a sign-in sheet that the members of each organization will sign to be accounted for. Attendance spirit points are awarded as follows:

1-5 organization members: 1 point per person
6-10 organization members: 2 points per person
11-13 organization members: 3 points person

Any organization that has 11-13 members at each event will receive an additional 40 spirit points toward their overall total. All organizations must sign in within the first 15 minutes and sign out within the last 15 minutes of each event in order to receive attendance points.

Participation spirit points are awarded to organizations that have members participating in the interactive Homecoming events. This year's events include Banner Wars, Lip Sync Competition, Big Man on Campus, Shopping Cart Parade, and the Greek vs. Roman Kickball Tournament.
