The UM-St. Louis Rivermen hockey club took a 9-0 record and a No. 7 ranking in the American Collegiate Hockey Association into their contest with No 1 Northern Illinois University. Unfortunately for UM-St. Louis, the Rivermen dropped both contests by scores of 7-2 and 2-1.
