UM-ST. LOUIS SHOULD BE PROUD OF CHANCELLOR by Loren Richard Klahs Recently I received in the mail a reprint of an article from The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It was sent to graduates of UM-St. Louis by Kathy Osborn, vice chancellor for University Relations. The article had to do with Blanche M. Touhill, chancellor of UM-St. Louis, who had been named "Citizen of the Year," an honor formerly known as "man of the Year." The ramifications of this prestigious honor cannot be thus having the title of the award "changed" is in itself something historical. This reprint currently hangs in my office, along with my graduate degree from UM-St. Louis. How proud all of us must be who have graduated from UM-St. Louis to see our chancellor bestowed with such an accolade. Dr. Touhill deserves great respect, approval and appreciation. |
