Accessibility Settings
There are a wide variety of settings that address accessibility in Microsoft Teams. Most commonly used can be found under the Accessibility tab of the Settings. Once there you will see:
- Sign Language View: This setting will make designated signers appear larger on your screen, making their hand movements easier to read.
- Teletypewriter (TTY) Mode: This mode allows you to communicate using text over the phone. For this setting to work you will first need to connect a TTY device. For more details see Manage your call settings in Microsoft Teams.
- Automatically identify me in live captions and live transcripts.
- Captions: settings here allow you to turn on, or always show, captions in calls and meetings, and you are given the option to filter out profane words in live captions.
Keyboard Shortcuts in Microsoft Team
For users with mobility or vision disabilities, keyboard shortcuts can be easier than a touchscreen and are an essential alternative to a mouse. Below are the keyboard shortcuts for Microsoft Teams on Windows or the web app using a PC keyboard, MacOS, and an external keyboard on the iPad app.

Show Keyboard Shortcuts
You can access the keyboard shortcuts directly from within the app in several ways. The methods below apply to both the Desktop and Web apps.

Select the 'Settings and more' button in the upper-right corner of Microsoft Teams, and then select Keyboard shortcuts.

To navigate to the keyboard shortcuts with a screen reader, press the Tab key until you hear "Settings and more," then press Enter. Press the Down arrow key until you hear "Keyboard shortcuts," then press Enter.
