Hello! I'm happy to be part of the University Advising Center. I've been at UMSL since 2017 in the College of Education, where I most recently served as the College’s Student Success and Retention Coordinator. My educational background includes a bachelor's degrees in education, English, and German from the University of Missouri, a master’s in German literature, more recently a second master’s degree in educational psychology. I have also spent lots of volunteer time with youth leadership development organizations. I am passionate about helping students set themselves up for success. Everyone has a unique story, and I love helping students find creative solutions to take charge of their own educational journey.
I am fortunate bring some unique perspectives to my role. I have parented three young adults through their first years of college, so I understand some of what’s important to you. I am also a student myself; I use the same systems with the same deadlines and feel some of the same pressures as you while I work towards my doctorate degree in educational practice. I feel truly privileged to be able to use my knowledge and experience to help UMSL’s amazing students. In addition to my job, I enjoy time with family, reading, walking my dog, and building with Legos.
