As Assistant Vice Chancellor for Development, Jim partners with donors and alumni to help them invest in philanthropic priorities that advance UMSL and support student success. He also leads a team of development officers serving colleges and academic units across the university. His focus areas include the Ed G. Smith College of Business, the College of Education, the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center, Transform UMSL capital projects and student scholarships. He holds a BA in Education from Saint Louis University, an MPPA and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from UMSL and is a Certified Fundraising Executive. He is currently pursuing a DBA at UMSL. With 20+ years of nonprofit leadership experience and seven years at UMSL, he brings both professional expertise and personal commitment as a first-generation college student and proud UMSL alum.
