Monsanto Award
This is a need-based scholarship in the amount of $1,500 per year for a full-time student pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology. You must be a currently enrolled BCBT major with complete financial aid paperwork. Applications are solicited from current students in the spring. More Info Past awardees
Outstanding Senior Award
The Outstanding Senior Award is awarded to a Biochemistry and Biotechnology major who has or will graduate in the current academic year and is typically awarded in late spring. Nominations for the award are by faculty only. The award includes $500. Past awardees
Outstanding Senior Scholarship
Continuing Education Award
This award is given to an outstanding sophomore or junior Biochemistry and Biotechnology major. The award is judged on outstanding past academic performance and a commitment to a future career in the field. Applications include applicant name, current overall GPA and major GPA, and one/two paragraphs explaining the applicant's interests in biotechnology, academic progress to date, and future career plans. The award includes $500. The application deadline is typically in April, and submission instructions and deadline are announced on the current student listserv. Past awardees
I Chose UMSL Award
This is a one-time, merit-based scholarship of $500 to selected UMSL grads who return to pursue their first Master’s degree. An undergraduate GPA of 3.00 is required. Additional details.
