Richter Family Welcome and Alumni Center

Central to the ongoing Transform UMSL initiative is the Richter Family Welcome and Alumni Center, a newly constructed and renovated 31,000-square-foot facility that will serve as the university’s new front door. With final punch-list items wrapping up, teams are preparing to move into the space. The center will bring together Recruitment and Admissions, Student Success and Alumni Engagement, creating a vibrant hub designed to welcome prospective students, support current Tritons and reconnect generations of graduates. With programming to begin in the fall 2026 semester, the Richter Family Welcome and Alumni Center will be a place where every visitor feels at home. Whether you’re a prospective student touring UMSL with friends and family or an alum returning to campus, this new center is designed to offer a warm, enduring welcome. This transformative facility was made possible through the generosity of Kirk Richter, BSBA ’68, and his family, whose cornerstone gift reflects their belief that alumni play a vital role in recruiting and inspiring future Tritons.

A dramatic transformation of the UMSL campus is underway, which will serve our university, region and far beyond for decades. Stay up-to-date with the latest “Transform UMSL” news.
