Math Test Dates

There is no cost to the student for this test, and no registration or sign-up process is necessary.

When you take the test, please bring your picture I.D., along with two #2 pencils to the test. Calculators are not allowed.

For Intermediate Algebra (0005), a Math Placement score of 12 is needed. If you have a 22 or higher on the ACT math sub-score, or have earned at least a "C" in Intermediate Algebra at a 2-year or 4-year college, you would not need to take the UMSL Math Placement test to take an introductory math course, such as, Contemporary Math (1020) or College Algebra (1030). There will be Math Placement Exam Prep courses available in May 2013. This a non-credit course and the fee is $90.  Contact Diana Rehagen at 314-516-6590 to register.

DAY CLASS:  May 20 - May 24 (Monday - Friday), 10:00a-11:45a in 313 Clark Hall (Instructor: Ashley Neal)
EVENING CLASS:  May 20 - May 23 (Monday - Thursday), 6:00p-8:00p in 313 Clark Hall (Instructor: Sumudu Kalubowila)

This course is a refresher of the prerequisite material for students who need to take college algebra but need to review in order to place in the course and also to be more prepared for the course. The students take a test on the last day of class. This test is equivalent to the placement exam and the students will be placed in the appropriate course based on their score.
